Teens And Drunk Driving

There is always a great deal of media regarding teens and drunk driving. This goes double for prom season. As I'm sure you've already heard, these statistics never get better as time progresses. You'd think our nation's youth would wise up and get a clue. I mean what part of don't drink and drive do you not understand? It's quite simple really. And yet we're still grappling with the same issues generation after generation. Now, I guess the big question at-hand is; how can we put an end to teens and drunk driving?

What is your personal take on teens and drunk driving? Is it something that genuinely bothers you or can you relate to the issue? I personally can't relate. I'd be lying if I said I could. I was a teenager in the 1990s. I too was faced with the temptation of alcohol and every other thing in the book. However, I just didn't give into the redundant peer pressure and social acceptance. I could have cared less about what others were doing at the time. My only concern was being prudent and following the facts. I knew that drinking was not for me, so I dismissed it like it was nothing. It's not like I was missing anything. I had never tried it, so I couldn't miss it. So my big question is; what's with these weak-willed teenagers? Why can't they just make the right decision and move on? It's not difficult. Been there, done that! Regardless of what parents and the laws say, we're still dealing with teens and drunk driving. It's just kind of sad.
