Videos For Children

When you think of videos for children, you probably think of the ones that your kids love the most. I know in my house, the Wiggles are the most popular, though Dora and Spongebob are welcome too. I don’t like my daughter to watch videos too often, I do allow her to watch when she needs to wind down. Even kids need some time to sit down and relax too. Though we have a lot of different movies, the Wiggles are by far the most requested, but I am keeping a closer eye on them now.

I don’t mean the content. The Wiggles have never done anything to give me pause, and perhaps that is why most of the videos for children I own are theirs. No, it’s not that. Greg Wiggle just retired, and quite frankly, my daughter and I are both heart broken. I know they will carry on, and they will make more videos for children in the future, but for me, the Wiggles aren’t the same without Greg. The movies we have now are gold, and I don’t want anything to happen to them. The Wiggles will never be the same.

There are a few Wiggles videos for children that we don’t have, and I am on a quest to find them. I’m probably not the only one. I guess I never thought the day would come that Greg would stop wiggling. He is, after all, the youngest. I thought he would be the last to go, but this just goes to show you that you don’t know what will happen next. The videos for children we have that feature Greg Page as the yellow Wiggle are going to be something I hang on to for a long time.

If you have a collection of videos for children, make sure you hang on to them until you are sure you are done having kids. They can be an investment, and if you hang on to the ones you have, you won’t have to buy them all over again. When you are sure you are done with your family, and your kids have all outgrown your videos for children, you may want to donate them to your local children’s hospital. They may give comfort to the children who have to stay there, and who may be fighting for their lives. Sometimes a movie is what will bring them comfort.
